My client, an industry leading, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund, is looking to hire a Alternative Data Sourcing Analyst into their Data Management and Strategy team.
You would be joining a small and dynamic team, established last year, in build-out mode - this is a newly created hire. The hire will be working on data and vendor management and sourcing alternative data across all asset classes, however, market data, fundamental data sourcing will also part of the remit. The hire will take an active role in managing relationships with existing vendors and building relationships with new vendors. You will work closely with the investment teams to understand strategy and the specific data they would require and act as the broker of information to source, negotiate licencing structures and provide relevant datapoints to the investment team. More broadly, the hire will play a key role in the enhancement and development of the firm’s centralized global function, as the fund continues to grow in AuM and geographically.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience working on alternative investment data sourcing with a strong knowledge of vendor management and contract/licensing structure negotiation and a strong existing network within the alternative , market and fundamental data market. A strong academic profile, proven project management skills and advanced tech skills are preferred.
As this is a very important hire, my client are committed to providing the hire with a strong increase on his/her current base salary and a sign-on bonus (to compensate for any bonus that the hire is giving up). A top performer will earn a large % of his/her base as a bonus. The role is comfortably paying a six-figure total comp package a fantastic benefits package (lunch, gym, large pension, gold level healthcare, CFA etc.)
