Job Overview
The Senior Programme Manager is a critical role that sits as part of the Operation’s Reset and Recovery team. We aim to drive improvement and transformational change across the organisation and integrated care system, working with our system partners, to deliver the Trust’s overall aim of Outstanding Patient Experience.
This role will support, lead and be responsible for a Reset and Recovery Change portfolio of work within NBT and across the wider Health Care System. You will need to strategically, as well as operationally, lead complex and challenging programmes of work.
The postholder will work with a wide variety of senior clinicians, senior managers, corporate departments, our system partners, and other external organisations to ensure complex transformation programmes are successfully supported and delivered.
The post holder will ensure that the core principles of programme management are adhered to whilst maintaining a focus on continuous quality improvement and value, underpinned by our Patient First approach.
The postholder will also support the Delivery Director – Reset and Recovery in providing leadership and management to the Reset and Recovery team.
Main duties of the job
- Lead, develop and establish a large Trust-wide multi-year transformational change programme to enhance patient care and drive clinical and operational improvement and efficiencies
- Direct the development and implementation of an articulate and robust plan for programme/project delivery with programme managers, project managers, clinicians, operational teams and key stakeholders
- Be responsible for managing and assessing the communications required to inform and engage stakeholders for relevant programmes to ensure the communication is appropriate for target audiences (up to Executive level)
- Support the leadership of the Reset and Recovery team. This includes line management responsibilities and supporting, motivating and developing staff to ensure the team can deliver its responsibilities.
