SC Cleared Terraform DevOps Engineer

In this contract DevOps role, you wil be responsible for implementing and supporting improvements, efficiency, enhancing software quality, and accelerating delivery times. You will have shared responsibility between development/operations with a focus on people, process, roles that take a unified customer/user focus. This will be part of a multi-disciplinary team with Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, UCD etc. all working together to achieve a common goal of applying best practice in DevOps.

Mandatory Experience:Terraform DevOps Engineer: Terraform, build Terraform code - DynamoDB / S3 buckets - data transfer (Risk repel) - directional replication

Key Responsibilities

• Extensive experience of DevOps tooling, containers and containerisation
• Analyse performance data to develop and test hypothesis relating to the design or operation of a service or product
• Communication: Able to speak to stakeholders and be able to transfer business requirements into technical implementation
• Facilitate information/business knowledge: Able to act as a business SME and understand what the business needs and how to support this into an efficient DevOps team.
• Stakeholder Management: Able to negotiate and influence with stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Expert in AWS services and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
• Extensive experience of cloud computing, and best practices/ emerging technologies
• Experienced with multiple eco-system databases, architecture and integrations
• Knowledge of Python, Terraform and SQL
• Embracing automation and implement CI/CD to improve quality and minimise downtime
• Proactive monitoring and effective incident response to detect and efficiently resolve issues
• Focussing on continuous improvement, fast feedback, high empathy and trust
• Defining ways of working that aligns to standards and best practice.
  
  

This is an urgent requirement so candidates must be able to interview and start at short notice. The role will be 2-3 days per week on site in Leeds LS1 offices so you must be able to attend as defined. This role will be Inside IR35 and will require an ACTIVE SC Clearance or above.
