Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are looking for Ramp Agents to join a well-respected and successful client in Gatwick Airport. You will be serving passengers who are traveling with the following airlines Jet2, Norse Atlantic, Norwegian, Delta, TAP Air Portugal.

Key Duties:

• The Airlines that you will be working with will be Jet2, Norse Atlantic, Norwegian, Delta, TAP Air Portugal
• Process customer luggage for aircraft loading and unloading, ensuring proper weight distribution.
• Work airside and in the under croft (baggage unit)
• Conduct aircraft marshalling tasks using hand signals and communication equipment
• Collaborate with ramp agents, ground handling staff, and airline personnel for efficient airport operations
• Multi-skilled position with opportunities for up skilling and operating various vehicles and machinery such as: mobile stair units for passenger boarding, belt loaders, buggies transporting passenger luggage and tug vehicles to help the aircraft prepare for take-off
• This is a manual role; you will need to be physically fit and able to repetitively lift and move luggage up to 30KG in weight (there will be downtime between arrivals/departures)
• Your role will require the responsibilities of driving airside, you will obtain your ADP (Airside Driving Permit)
• Receive full training (6 days classroom-based) and provided with full PPE
• Please note this role takes place both indoor and outdoor and you will experience all weather conditions
  
  
  

Shifts:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 4 on 2 off rolling rota. This could be subject to change!

An example of the shift hours:

• Day 1: 0300 till 1200
• Day 2: 0400 till 1300
• Day 3: 1330 till 2230
• Day 4: 1530 till 0000

Requirements:

• Full manual driving licence
• Good attention to detail
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team
• Physically fit and able to repetitively lift and move luggage up to 30KG
• Right to Work in the UK
• Five year fully checkable reference history
• Ability to pass Criminal Record Check (CRC)
