Housekeeping Team Leader

Castle Retirement Village, based in Berkhamsted is on the lookout for a Housekeeping Team Lead to join our team!

As a Housekeeper Team Leader you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our residents as well as being a great people manager who leads by example.

Your responsibilities will include managing staff and rotas, maintaining the cleanliness and order of residents' living spaces, making sure your team deliver high quality service to our residents. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and contribute to the positive atmosphere within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of staff, leading by example , setting high standards
• Clean and sanitize residents' apartments properties, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas
• Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, including dining rooms, lounges, and recreational spaces
• Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, and folding residents' clothing and linens
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed
• Respond to special requests from residents or their families as needed
• Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere within the retirement village
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Previous management experience
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment
• Compassionate and respectful attitude towards elderly residents
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
