Role Description

Stone Surveying Ltd is searching for a candidate that would be a great fit for us, so we are looking at Surveyors of all levels (junior to senior) to join our growing team (If you do not have the experience or qualifications described below, but have an interest in a traineeship/apprenticeship, please feel free to apply, including why you would be a good fit for stone Surveying and why you want to be a surveyor)

We currently undertake a full range of surveying services which include Topographical Land Surveys, Aerial Surveys, Setting out, 3D Laser Scanning & volumetric Surveys.

We have an excellent portfolio of clients and our work takes us all over the UK, so willingness to travel and stay away for multiple night at a time is a requirement.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work alone or heading a team, be able to work to a high degree of detail and accuracy as well as being able to train the next generation of surveyors (senior) with strong communication skills and guidance.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years (Junior) or 7 years (Senior) of surveying experience, with a degree/HND/HNC in a relevant field. A knowledge of Trimble Total Stations, GPS and Riegl Laser scanner is useful but not essential. Further knowledge of TBC would also be beneficial.

Any Senior level applicants should have strong client relations and business development skills (this is how to make the most out of your bonus!)

All candidates should be capable of working to a high level of detail in a fast paced environment and be experienced in one or more of the below services.

  • Topographical Surveys
  • Measured Building Surveys
  • Aerial Surveys and inspection (imagery and LiDAR)
  • 3D Laser Scanning
  • Setting Out
  • Processing site data using TBC, Global Mapper, Metashape & RiScan Pro producing 2d & 3D drawings

All candidates should be within a computable distance to our office in Sutton-in-Ashfield

Qualifications

  • Experience in conducting stockpile surveys, topographic surveys, and OHL route surveys
  • Proficiency in using Trimble equipment and software
  • Experience in aerial inspection, photogrammetry and LiDAR surveys
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree/HND/HNC in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • GVC qualification a plus
  • Clean UK drivers license
