What you'll be involved in:
Due to the departure of the site Management Accountant we are looking to recruit a new Management Accountant to join our small onsite finance team at Teledyne CML Composites, which is part of Teledyne UK Limited.
This role will report directly to the Financial Controller and the main duties will initially include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts in accordance with US GAAP principles including journals, reconciliations, overhead analysis.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee inter-company invoicing and reconciling group balances.
- Responsible for maintaining the standard cost of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods
- Understanding and reporting all productions variances in a timely manner. Implementing changes / improvements, alongside the production team, to resolve costing or process issues.
- Monitoring costs against budgets and investigating variances
- Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasting.
- Production of quarterly VAT Returns
- Supporting the site Financial Controller.
- Providing line management and guidance of the Finance Administrator
This role will also provide the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the implementation of the new ERP system (due to commence during 2025/26), also ensuring data integrity and ownership going forward
What we're looking for in you:
- CIMA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist.
- Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths or equivalent experience
- Experience and understanding of Manufacturing environments
- Good knowledge of Cost & Project Accounting
- Have experience of working within a deadline structured delivery environment
- Accurate with good attention to detail.
- Able to work autonomously and part of integrated teams
- Have excellent IT skills, especially within MS Excel spreadsheet development and manipulation
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to work within a fast paced, ever changing business
- Experience in the use of SAP would be of benefit, but not essential
- Experience of being involved in new systems implementations would be of interest
