The Oyster Shed is apart of the Whitstable Oyster Company and is part of a professional run business. Our goal is to to serve high quality food and drinks, ensuring customers satisfaction with a good service. Also to look after staff and their needs allowing for a felxible work patterns on weekdays but weekends are needed to work at least one of the days along with bank holidays.
The Oyster Shed is not fully opening to public until 3rd April. However we need to bring staff in before hand to be ready.
This role is looking for someone who wants to learn skills in a fast paced kitchen. You will partake in cleaning the fryers, preparing food, cooking the variety of dishes also including things such as grilled oysters and lobsters.
Some skills will have to be learnt on the job such as shucking oysters. However its all within a positive atmoshere to get through the day.
During holiday Seasons, especially summer, there are many available hours to have. These naturally lessen during school periods.
Also have other sites you can work at whilst here to keep things fresh such as The Forge.
Pay is minimum to begin with but you earn tips on top of this which is added on to your hourly pay.
