We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Editorial Designer to join our creative team and contribute to the visual storytelling of our luxury brand.

As a Junior Editorial Designer, you will work closely with our Design Director and editorial team to create visually stunning layouts and contribute to the overall aesthetic of our magazine. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to learn from industry leaders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Layout Design: Assist in the creation of layouts for magazine features, departments, and special sections. Ensure designs are aligned with the magazine’s luxurious and sophisticated aesthetic.
  • Template Design: Develop and refine design templates that will be used for recurring sections and features within the magazine.
  • Photo Editing: Collaborate with the photography team to select, edit, and retouch images for publication, ensuring they meet our high visual standards.
  • Typography: Work with the design team to select and apply fonts that enhance the readability and visual appeal of the magazine.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial and design teams to ensure that all visual elements complement the written content and adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Design Revisions: Participate in design review sessions with the Design Director and make necessary revisions based on feedback.
  • Production Support: Assist in preparing files for print, ensuring all layouts are correctly formatted and print-ready.

Qualifications:

  • Design Software Proficiency: Skills in Adobe Creative Suite including: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail, particularly in typography, colour theory, and layout composition.
  • Creativity: A passion for design and the ability to contribute fresh ideas and innovative approaches to layout design.
  • Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to take direction and work within a team.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing any creative work.
