Laser Operator

Location: Leamington Spa

Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Rotating weekly shifts

Shifts 6.00am : 2.30 pm and 06.00:12.00 Friday and 2.30pm : 11pm and 12.00:18.00 Friday

Salary A GBP 33, 620.73 per annum shift allowance (where applicable)

A well:established manufacturing company that specialises in heavy duty vehicles are looking to recruit a Laser Operator to join their small team based in Leamington Spa on a permanent basis..

The Laser Operator Role

• Operating and running the Laser machines
• Manufacturing components to a high standard
• Ability to interpret and work to CAD/engineering drawings
• Using engineering measuring equipment such as Verniers, callipers, or Micrometres
• Maintaining machinery by cleaning it and making sure it is in working order and checking and ordering materials needed.
• Working with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium
• Removing and cleaning of finished parts ready for Production.
• Daily TMP checks and general maintenance of Laser machines, replacing specific parts, nozzles, lenses etc.
• Completing your own quality control checks
• Completion of documentation
• Keeping to tight deadlines and targets
  
  

The ideal Laser Operator

• Experience of either Amada, Bystronic or a Trumpf machine would be beneficial.
• Machine operating experience
• Previous experience of operating laser cutting machines, setting would be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Has the ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision
• Applicants will need to demonstrate attention to detail and reliability
