Civil Operative

Job Overview:

WCC group are seeking experienced civil operatives to join our team. Your role will vary day-to-day and you will be expected to carry out a variety of civils tasks. The following types of work can be expected to make up your role:

Groundwork; drainage and ducting, concrete, excavations, minor demolitions, facility maintenance, slabbing, brick laying, etc

Security fencing works; fence panel repairs, installations, razorwire repairs etc.

Ground maintenance; scrub and vegetation clearance, tree removal, culvert/drainage clearing, chemical spraying

Working away from home may occasionally be required, expenses are paid for when working away.

Responsibilities

• Carry out work promptly and safely.
• Comply with company health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure that all incidents and near misses are reported.
• Assist the skilled technicians with general labouring duties & site preparation.
• Movement of machinery and materials/ Use of hand and power tools.
• Carry out pre and post-inspections of machinery and equipment.

Required

• Must already hold, or be willing to undergo the Security Clearance, (SC), process.
• Abrasive Wheel training.
• CSCS/CPCS or NPORS card.

Desired

• Full clean driving licence
• Excavator 360
• Telescopic handler
• Chipper operator
• Safe use of cable avoidance tools
• HGV licence

On-the-job training will be provided.

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30 - 40 hours per week. Paid overtime is available.

Holidays: 28 days per annum.
