Diverse and thriving 50-year-old family business, focused on the areas of Property Development, Aggregates and Farming seeks a Head of Finance to spearhead it's financial strategy and oversee the Finance team in its execution of daily responsibilities. Office based in idyllic south Somerset, you will be an integral member of the management team and advise at Board level. The role A Company Accountant / Head of Finance is required to head up the firm’s Finance team. You will organise, reconcile and forecast all financial transactions, including a variety of expenses and monthly payments. Maintaining oversight of banking and budgetary matters, you will retain overall fiscal responsibility for the business including liaison with External Auditors and submission of the annual accounts. A financial strategist you will be an integral part of the management team and maintain close advisory relations with the Board. The requirements A highly experienced Finance professional (Company Accountant /Financial Controller) with a minimum of 7 years post qualified experience (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), you will possess exceptional financial and analytical skills. Evidencing previous experience in a similar role, you will have a strong accounting background with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in Property Development / Construction, Aggregate or Farming although if they exhibit all the above this is preferred not essential. You will however be expert in Sage Accounts, Payroll and MS Excel. Based in idyllic South Somerset, applications from relocating candidates are actively encouraged.
