Apprentice

We have an exciting job opportunity for an Early Years apprentice to join the Children's Centre at Maiden Newton Childcare Provision, working with children from 2 years old upwards, alongside their qualified team! The nursery aims to provide the children in their care with a happy and secure environment, which encourages their natural development.

Duties

• Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted
• Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for all children in the nursery
• Give support to other team members throughout the nursery
• Work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop, assisting with activities
• Shadow and support experienced team members, to develop your own knowledge and skills within the role
• Liaise with parents as required
• Be flexible and prepared to help as required, i.e. with preparing snacks and meals, cleaning equipment and laundry
• Carry out your role in line with nursery and college policies and procedures at all times

Essential Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) essential
• GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) essential
