Software Tester

About the Company - We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our team and ensure the quality of our software products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating with developers to improve overall software performance. This company specializes in developing software solutions that streamline and accelerate complex processes from planning to production for both digital and print advertising materials. They serve as prominent international clients in the retail and industrial sectors.

About the Role - Continuous testing to ensure user-friendliness and error-free functionality. Identify and resolve application and system errors, including root cause analysis and error correction. Independently conduct and document necessary tests. Ensure compliance with specifications in terms of functionality. Direct contact/support for customers and partners. Responsible for improving software quality and preventing errors, working closely with the Professional Services and Development teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for software applications.
• Perform manual testing to ensure software quality.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and defects.
• Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Conduct functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Analyze test results and generate reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure software meets business and technical requirements.
• Continuously improve testing processes and frameworks.

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of quality assurance and test design is an advantage.
• Good technical understanding, and experience with MS SQL for data analysis is a plus.
• Very good knowledge of German.
