Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst for one of our clients in the banking sector to support data-driven decision-making. The candidate will work closely with business units to gather, interpret, and translate data into insights that improve processes, support regulatory reporting, and inform strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and validate structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to support business analysis and performance monitoring.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to define reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Perform data mining and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Support regulatory and compliance reporting through accurate and timely data provision.
• Collaborate with IT, risk, finance, and compliance teams to ensure alignment on data governance and quality standards.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of data models and data dictionaries.
• Assist in the implementation of data quality controls and data lineage tracking.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Min 3 years of proven experience in a data analytics role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
• Solid understanding of data management principles, including data governance and data quality.
• Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of banking products, financial regulations, or risk management is considered an asset.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate professionally in Dutch.
