Contract Manager

As a Contract Manager at Equans, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing the contractual aspects of our diverse projects in Belgium. From guiding the legal structures to providing strategic advice to project teams, you’ll be at the forefront of managing risk, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving the success of projects across transport infrastructure, telecommunications, and energy sectors. With your expertise, you’ll keep everything running smoothly, ensuring both contractual clarity and collaboration.

Your role at a glance

In your role, you’ll oversee the full scope of contract management across various major projects:

• ensure full compliance with contractual requirements, acting as the expert on all contractual aspects
• lead and coordinate complex contracts, such as Design, Build and Operate models, and assist in developing the structure and cooperation agreements
• provide ongoing support to project teams, helping interpret and implement contractual terms while developing strategy
• act as an advisor to Project Managers on managing relationships with clients, consortium partners, and subcontractors
• help shape internal processes and tools, draft amendments, and ensure economic objectives are met
• oversee all project communications, monitoring correspondence, notifications, and project events
• manage risks and opportunities, compiling claim files when needed
• proactively prevent disputes by implementing best practices and being an alert point for any concerns
• focus on maintaining strong relationships with clients, consortium partners, suppliers, and subcontractors
  
  

Is this you? You’ll thrive in this role with:

• a degree in engineering, economics, or law
• at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar contract management role or as a Controller/Project Manager with significant contract management experience
• familiarity with working in complex, multi-entity consortia or project companies
• a solid track record managing large projects across tertiary or industrial sectors
• a strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information and stay results-oriented
• excellent relational skills and a sense of service, thriving in a collaborative, team-driven environment
• a high level of rigor, organization, and methodical approach to contract management
• fluency in French and/or Dutch, and English
