Senior Fund Accountant

HI Partners is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join a well-established international firm in Luxembourg. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in fund accounting who is looking to advance their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This is a key role focused on NAV calculation, financial reporting, and client relationship management for complex investment funds (AIFs). As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be an integral part of the team, working on both local and cross-border projects, and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the bookkeeping and accounting of multiple fund structures, including management companies and associated entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and reconcile investor reports, statutory financial statements, along with responding to ad-hoc investor inquiries and NAV calculations.
• Conduct periodic bank reconciliations and maintain comprehensive documentation of transactions to support financial reports.
• Manage the general ledger and sub-ledgers for various funds and special purpose vehicles (SPVs).
• Perform cash monitoring and reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Ensure AML checks and respond to investor due diligence requests.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, capital statements, and other reporting requirements.
• Support the capital call and distribution processes, ensuring timely execution.
• Contribute to the implementation of new technologies and processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, investors, and investment managers.
• Engage with clients and their representatives for queries and documentation requirements.
• Provide necessary information and manage year-end audit processes.
• Participate in preparation for audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and addressing audit queries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Fund Accounting, specifically with Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).
• At least 2 years of experience within the Luxembourg market.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• You must have a recognized professional accounting qualification, such as CA, ACCA, CAIA, CPA, CGA, CMA, or an equivalent certification.
• Experience as an Auditor, particularly with a Big 4 firm, is considered a strong advantage.
• Strong accounting skills with familiarity in Luxembourg GAAP and relevant regulations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in accounting software and systems used within fund administration.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• A proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
