Luminus is a leader in renewable energy, dedicated to building a sustainable future by developing, operating and maintaining wind, solar, and battery installations. Our Asset Management team ensures the efficient, safe and environmentally responsible operation of our renewable energy portfolio.

As SHEQ Engineer (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) you will support the Wind Asset Management team by ensuring safety, environmental and quality compliance. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain operational excellence across Luminus' wind energy assets.

Your Daily Job

• You ensure compliance with Belgian and EU safety regulations for wind energy operations, conducting risk assessments, site inspections and audits.
• You drive safety improvements, developing and enforcing protocols for employees, contractors, and subcontractors while investigating incidents and recommending corrective actions.
• You oversee environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to permits, supporting biodiversity initiatives and managing mitigation measures.
• You maintain quality standards, developing and implementing management systems aligned with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 55001) and coordinating internal and external audits.
• You collaborate with technical teams, ensuring proper maintenance and operational excellence.
• You act as the key contact, liaising with regulatory authorities, contractors and local communities on all SHEQ matters.
• You train and empower teams, delivering SHEQ training and awareness programs to staff and contractors.
• You align SHEQ goals with broader company objectives, supporting the Head of Asset Management in achieving strategic targets.
  
  

Your Profile

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
• You bring 3-5 years of SHEQ experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• You know wind farm operations or have experience in similar energy infrastructure projects.
• You’re fluent in Dutch and/or French, with a good knowledge of English.
• You’re a compliance expert, with a strong understanding of Belgian and EU SHEQ regulations.
• You think critically, analyzing risks and solving problems proactively.
• You’re detail-oriented, ensuring processes meet the highest quality and safety standards.
• You’re a strong communicator, presenting findings clearly and working seamlessly with different teams.
• You work independently, while thriving in a cross-functional team environment.
