As Client Leader for the Risk Management segment in Marsh Europe, you will play a crucial role in driving client-centric strategy and the expansion of Marsh's risk management services across the region. Your focus will be on building strong client and prospect relationships, building retention strategy, driving thought leadership initiatives, identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, amplifying the external visibility of Marsh, staying informed about industry trends, and delivering exceptional client experiences. This position requires a deep understanding of the risk management landscape, exceptional influence skills, and a strong focus on delivering value to clients
We will count on you to :
- Enhance Client Experience: Using Marsh McLennan's Client Value Experience (CVX) Framework, work with local RM leaders and practice teams across the region to institutionalise the account planning framework for Risk Management clients, incorporating measurement of KPIs around retention and new business growth. Within this framework support local teams in leveraging MMC's capabilities and support collaboration across OpCos to deliver best outcomes for selected clients.
- Drive Retention Strategy: Implement regional retention strategy incorporating; regular review of retention KPI outputs at a regional level, liaise with account owners regarding changes in client status, particularly for at risk clients. Establish a regular cadence of status review with retention champions in the region. Partner with sales and client engagement teams to drive training and resource sharing at a regional level. Regularly share updates with regional sales/executive leadership.
- Enhance Client Satisfaction: Assess and make recommendations for enhancement of the client satisfaction measurement framework for Risk Management clients in the region. Enhance the feedback mechanism to include client interviews and provide feedback to internal stakeholders on results and opportunities for improvement. Work with local teams to develop retention strategies for at risk clients.
- Senior Relationship Officer (SRO) Strategy: Assess the current SRO landscape in the region, recommend, develop and deploy a regional SRO Strategy including best practice guidelines for SROs. Create an SRO community including monthly/quarterly calls to share best practices, spot trends, and get ahead of client issues. Act as an SRO for a number of selected clients, and act as an additional RM resource in smaller markets/ markets where client relationships should be protected.
- Client Acquisition: Identify and engage with potential clients across industries, including multinational corporations, government entities, and international organisations, to understand their risk management needs and present tailored solutions, leveraging MMC's full suite of tools and capabilities (BBE Labs, proprietary intellectual capital, etc.)
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients' c-suite & risk managers, industry associations, insurers, MMC practice and business leaders, and strategic partners, to drive business growth, acting also as a strategic client advisor leader for key clients/prospects in the region.
- Enhance Marsh's market presence: Support the RM leader to develop and execute thought leadership and client engagement initiatives to enhance Marsh's market presence in the RM space, positioning Marsh as the "Risk advisor of the future", such as planning and setting the agenda for Marsh Client Council meetings, attending client industry events for themes impacting client needs, and utilising social media to highlight our expertise.
- Market intelligence and analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential target markets, industry trends, and competitive landscape in the European risk management space. Stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging risks in international markets, leveraging this knowledge to identify new business opportunities and drive innovation.
- Collaboration for Growth: Work closely with stakeholders across the region, including country CCOs and Sales leaders, Growth Opportunity leaders, and other practice and product leaders to drive sales initiatives, and work on growth drivers and initiatives for the region.
- Proposal Development: Support the bid management function to develop compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the organisation's value proposition and differentiate it from competitors.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis on activities, market trends, and performance to senior management.
What you need to have :
- Extensive experience in business development or sales within international risk management, preferably within an insurance brokerage or consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge of international risk management practices, insurance products, and industry regulations.
- Proven track record of successfully driving business growth, acquiring new clients, and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to identify market opportunities and develop innovative business development strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
