The Global external innovation team at Menarini Stemline is a uniquely positioned structure working to provide a 360-degree support to the Menarini Stemline Oncology business. The team is active in all the aspects of the global oncology strategic and business development employing an end-to-end model on both buy and sell side.
We are seeking a skilled Global Innovation Manager / Business Development Manager with a robust scientific background to drive our oncology acquisition and licensing efforts to join this team. This role requires a deep understanding of both the scientific and strategic aspects of drug development, particularly in the oncology field.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Evaluations: Lead the technical evaluation of preclinical and clinical oncology assets, thoroughly assessing their potential and associated risks.
Dynamic Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced business development environment with a strong grasp of the latest industry breakthroughs in drug and pharmaceutical development.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage cross-functional evaluations of oncology technologies through established workflows and support comprehensive due diligence processes.
Strategic Support: Contribute to the strategic development of the Menarini-Stemline pipeline by providing valuable medical and clinical insights.
Industry Representation: Represent the company at key scientific and partnering events, advocating for our goals and values while identifying promising drug development opportunities from preclinical stages through to commercialization.
Standards Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to Menarini-Stemline’s oncology standards and regulatory requirements.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Background:
PhD in a life science or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development or at least 5 years in roles related to clinical-stage oncology projects, R&D, or Medical Affairs.
Post-doctoral experience, international exposure, or an MBA is highly advantageous.
Mandatory experience in oncology, with global or international experience preferred.

Oncology Trends: In-depth knowledge of oncology trends and the ability to offer strategic scientific insights.

Team Collaboration: Excellent team player with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
Autonomous Operation: Ability to drive projects independently and expedite processes.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and oral, with the ability to confidently communicate business opportunities.
Travel Willingness: Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
