Senior Accountant (F/M) - BE866324

Our client, a well-known leader in the Consumer Goods sector, recognized for their innovative and sustainable solutions, is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Accounting team.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will oversee the smooth operation of daily accounting functions. In this key position, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for processing and managing accounts payable, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing critical financial activities. The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, process payments via SAP, ensure compliance with financial controls, and play an active role in month-end and year-end closing procedures. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will assist in preparing for audits and handle ad-hoc accounting requests from management.

Responsibilities :

• Supervising, monitoring, and evaluating the general ledger accounting to ensure timely and complete accounting processes in accordance with laws, regulations, and internal requirements.
• Consulting with the Financial Control team on changes in laws and regulations that may impact accounting process requirements.
• Processing supplier invoices with precision and efficiency.
• Maintaining accurate accounts payable records.
• Managing daily accounting activities and enforcing financial controls.
• Communicating with suppliers to ensure smooth transactions.
• Leading weekly supplier payments via SAP.
• Perfectly executing weekly manual payments.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closings to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Supporting internal and external audits with your expertise.
• Confidently handling spontaneous accounting requests from management.
• Providing crucial support to the Accounting Manager in various tasks.

Profile :

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles (an experience in a Big 4 firm is a plus),
• Excellent Excel skills,
• Fluency both in Dutch and English,
• Strong analytical skills, dedicated and proactive professional.
