Job Posting for Functional Safety Architect at OMNIVISION
Overview:
Are you passionate about contributing to a world with safe autonomous vehicles? Then this role could be for you.
In this position you will be working with the global functional safety (FuSa) team to drive the technical implementation of the safety concept in safety-critical semiconductor components that go into vehicles with autonomous/ADAS systems. You will join a team that works close with the mixed signal design of Image Sensors.
Responsibilities:
Specification of FuSa requirements and performing FuSa analysis
Own the technical safety concept and drive the implementation and improvement of safety mechanisms into the design in OMNIVISION products, ranging from PMIC, CIS to MCU
Drive the use of new and existing FuSA tools for fault injection and safety analysis
Drive the development and maintain automated safety verification flow
Drive the execution of FuSa work products in accordance with the corporate functional safety processes and methodology.
Participate in engineering meetings to drive technical specification and close FuSa requirements
Participate in internal and external assessments and audits and in determining product compliance to the ISO26262 metrics and processes
Complete FuSa task, analysis and formal reviews as defined by the safety plan
Collaborate with design teams across the globe
Generate documentation of results and drive continuous improvements within your area of responsibility
Provide training to global teams on safety processes.
Requirements:
You MUST have:
Minimum B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
Experience with at least 4 yrs functional safety in the semiconductor industry
Experience with ISO 26262, functional safety analysis and use of safety analysis tools (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA)
Excellent communication, project management, and presentation skills
Excellent team player, self-driven, quality-minded with an attention to detail
Excellent command of English as a working language
You MUST provide a cover letter outlining your desire to move to, live and work in Belgium.
You should have:
Experience with CMOS image sensors and CPU architectures
mixed-signal design background
Detailed knowledge of safety standards such as IEC 61508
Knowledge of Automotive SPICE
Awareness of Cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434)
