Interim Accountant - Accounts Payable

Remote Based

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in full-cycle accounts payable processing, financial analysis, and business process improvements to contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, verification, approval, and timely payment processing.
• Perform reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
• Collaborate closely with the General Ledger team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support the implementation and improvement of transactional processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct financial analysis, utilizing advanced Excel skills to generate reports and identify trends.
• Utilize Oracle ERP system for financial data entry, reporting, and system management.
• Ensure compliance with European tax regulations, including VAT and other applicable taxes.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing financial data for reporting.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in full-cycle accounts payable processing and other core financial business processes (e.g., analysis, general ledger).
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced analytics and data manipulation.
• Experience with Oracle ERP system or similar financial software.
• In-depth understanding of European tax laws, including VAT and local tax regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Dutch or French would be a plus.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities for transactional process improvements.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
