Global Head of IT

We are looking for:

A motivated and results-driven Global Head of IT at Remedica, to lead the company’s technology transformation and strategy, ensuring that our IT infrastructure and systems are aligned with business goals.

As a Global Head of IT you will:

• Develop and execute the overall IT strategy to support Remedica's digital transformation strategy, its business objectives, aligning technology initiatives with organizational growth plans.
• Lead and oversee the ongoing implementation of core IT systems across all departments (SAP S4/Hana, QMS, LIMS, BI, and others) ensuring efficient support of the program from IT/technical side. Work closely with the program management team as well as external consultants and vendors.
• Set up the structure, processes, and governance to provide continuous improvement of ERP systems post-implementation.
• Explore and implement other emerging technologies (AI, machine learning, automation). Assess the potential of new tech solutions to enhance business processes and improve operational efficiencies.
• Establish and maintain an IT governance framework, regular and ad-hoc audits, and reporting system.
• Audit, analyze, and improve existing IT infrastructure, ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of all systems, including networks, databases, and cloud services.
• Establish and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive company and patient data, ensuring compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant pharmaceutical regulations.
• Design and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring minimal disruption to business. Regularly test and update recovery strategies to keep them aligned with evolving business needs.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and ensuring high availability of critical systems and applications.
• Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Internal Audit to ensure all IT processes meet required regulatory standards.
• Build the necessary team structure to support both day-to-day operations and strategic projects, including upskilling team members in SAP and other critical technologies.
• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals while maintaining cost-effectiveness in technology investments. Evaluate the ROI of IT initiatives, balancing strategic innovation with cost control.
• Optimize IT resources, focusing on cost control, vendor management, and efficient allocation of hardware and software assets.
• Proactively oversee relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring service levels are maintained, and contracts are optimized for business needs.
• Collaborate with C-level executives and other department heads to ensure alignment between IT and other functional areas

What you will bring:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industries.
• Proven track record in SAP implementation and management (or other enterprise ERPs i.e. Oracle), with experience in customizing SAP modules for business functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• SAP certification or equivalent experience in SAP implementation and management is highly desirable.
• Experience in managing large IT transformations, including budget, resources, and stakeholder communication.
• Hands-on experience in designing and managing IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and cloud services.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, including timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance (e.g., GMP, FDA, GDPR) and how they relate to IT systems and data security.
• Excellent technical skills, with a hands-on approach, ability to grasp the technologies quickly, and lead the team by example.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and lead IT team members effectively

Other terms and conditions:

• This role is based in Cyprus, Limassol, and requires presence onsite at least 80% of the time.
