Job Description
Tasks:
- Defines and validates, in collaboration with requesters and users, the scope of requirements for new tooling.
- Writes specifications for subcontracting tenders.
- Performs the design and drafting of tooling plans.
- Is responsible for the launch and progress of tooling production (meeting deadlines and controlling costs), and provides daily reporting.
- Manages and archives documentation (plans, regulatory documents, specifications, etc.).
- Checks and validates tooling compliance at production start-up.
- Proposes improvement solutions (standard or complex tooling; new processes).
- Participates in the continuous improvement process.
ROLE
You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and contribute to the development and sustainability of our Tooling Methods expertise within the industrialization department. You will be responsible for designing tooling while meeting the deadlines and cost targets defined by our development projects for assembly, electronics, wiring, and primary parts.
Skills
- You have technical knowledge in mechanical manufacturing and assembly
- You are proficient in reading and creating technical drawings
- You have strong analytical skills and good organizational abilities
- You are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- You are familiar with the design software Catia V5
- 3D printing
