In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern

machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

SABCA Brussels is also the home to our "Unmanned Autonomous Systems" aka: the drones solutions unit!

Mission:

Within the Industrialization team, you will ensure the industrialization of products and implement the corresponding processes. Autonomous and highly organized, you will prioritize tasks and manage multiple objectives. Manufacturing process engineers innovate, develop, communicate (with services and field teams), and deploy processes that guarantee the required capacity and robustness. You demonstrate open-mindedness and dialogue to understand the issues of your interlocutors and are constantly focused on improving performance and providing quality service to production teams.

Tasks:

  • Participate in the development of new products and be responsible for industrial choices: optimizing part design, defining industrial means, and choosing manufacturing processes.
  • Validate design office plans for optimal industrialization.
  • Implement manufacturing processes (SAP ranges, technical documentation, control sheets, tooling needs definition, etc.).
  • Study workstations (ergonomics, layout, and safety conditions).
  • Optimize and validate production for series transition.
  • Dimension production means and associated cycle times (responsible for validating operation times), potentially manage transfers to subcontractors and ensure their success.
  • Participate in investment projects (technical innovations) to optimize manufacturing and testing processes. Support the creation of strategic roadmaps proposing and justifying capital investments (machines, tooling, calibration, and factory).
  • Analyze deviations and propose corrective actions. Ensure compliance with costs, quality, and deadlines within your responsibility.
  • Participate in the realization of PFMEA (Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis).
  • Proactively initiate cost reduction and variation reduction activities through statistical process control (SPC).
  • Analyze customer demand changes and their impacts on manufacturing process definitions.
  • Propose test and equipment validation procedures.
  • Prepare quotations for new project tenders.
  • Ensure compliance with EN9100 quality standards and ISO 14001 environmental standards.
  • Transfer your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a continuous learning and supportive environment.

Profile:

Technical Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (3D printing, additive manufacturing, composites).
  • Experience in managing manufacturing projects, including planning, coordination, and tracking.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in the aerospace sector is a plus.
