Context

Our client, a well-established player in their industry, is seeking an IT Application Support Specialist to strengthen their existing team. The goal: ensure the continuity of business-critical applications and provide day-to-day support to users.

Your responsibilities:
Ensure the monitoring and proper functioning of applications across different environments

Responding requests from development teams and the support team

Provide suggestions and improvements (e.g., optimization) in response to requests

Monitor and manage business applications

Handle incidents in both production and test environments

Analyze, prioritize, and resolve issues based on business criticality and priorities

Actively contribute to updating and enriching the team's knowledge base

Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts for system management and problem resolution

Technical Skills

Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent professional experience

Solid understanding of databases such as DB2, Oracle, or others

Strong prioritization skills, organizational mindset, and team spirit

Rigorous and autonomous in your work

Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and attentive to users' needs

Proactive, with initiative and a problem-solving mindset

Willingness to expand your knowledge and expertise

French-speaking with a good command of English; Dutch is a plus

Experience in programming is a plus

Experience with Mainframe and/or Unix environments is a plus

Experience in object-oriented programming (like JAVA) and/or COBOL is a plus
