ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
CLERK (casual)
T he City of Port Alberni is currently accepting applications for a casual Accounts Receivable
Clerk to join the Finance department at City Hall. This position will provide relief coverage
when required.
This position performs accounting work including processing accounts receivable, preparing
invoices, preparing batches for processing, account reconciliation, preparation and analysis of
billing and monthly balancing of account charges and payments. This position also processes
enquiries and provides information on transactions and related matters
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
program (accounting option), or enrolled in the Certified Professional Accountants
Program (CPA) and have completed Core 1 & 2 (or equivalent)
Shortlisted applicants will be required to successfully complete a police information check.
The rate of pay for this position is $33.99 per hour plus an additional 15% in lieu of benefits.
