Bartender (Part-time)

Cordo Resto Bar Bartenders have the opportunity to learn new skills while crafting one-of-a-kind cocktails and provide a memorable experience for our guests. Our in-house crafted menu offers a unique experience with spirits, wines and beers from British Columbia and brings out the creativity in our Bartenders.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A BARTENDER

• Builds connections with the guests and ensures their beverage needs are fulfilled while creating a welcoming and unique guest experience
• Accurately pour and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Maintain and uphold current BC liquor laws and regulations through the practice of responsible alcohol service
• Perform the Bartenders checklist, duties, and steps of service
• Perform all required closing duties
• Assist in maintaining and controlling stock and inventory of bar
• Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs

QUALIFICATIONS OF A BARTENDER

• Experience in Food & Beverage service, including both bartending and serving, with a strong knowledge of the Food & Beverage service process.
• Serving it right certificate and Food Safe certificate required
• Possess a positive attitude and works well with other team members
• Excellent communication & guest service skills
• Passionate about team and guest interaction
• Have a collaborative mindset to work within a dynamic team
• Must be personable and able to build connections with a variety of guests
• Must be able to work under minimum supervision
• Must be able to multitask and handle competing priorities
• Ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to challenging environments
• Must be willing to work in Kamloops, BC
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

The Bar Program at Cordo is an experience of BC. A wide selection of BC Liquors is the foundation for creating our signature cocktails using fresh juice from BC fruit and vegetables accented by herbs from our in-house herb garden. House-made syrups from local BC products with a touch of house made bitters will be the accent that creates a unique cocktail experience. The beer and wine offerings will be of local craftsman displaying the true talent and expertise in Kamloops and surround B.C. regions.
