This is an excellent opportunity for a pediatrician to join a practice with supportive and collegial services in beautiful, friendly Williams Lake. You will enjoy a busy and exciting practice working with another pediatrician and alongside an excellent team of caring allied health professionals at the Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre. Additionally, you will provide general acute, neonatal (34 weeks and above), ER and consultant work to patients and their families at Cariboo Memorial Hospital. A general pediatric background with an interest in developmental and behavioural pediatrics would be especially suitable.

The CMH redevelopment project is well underway. By the end of 2026, we'll have an expanded emergency department with 23 treatment spaces, a medical-surgical inpatient unit with 36 beds, and a mental health unit featuring 8 single-occupancy rooms. As the project moves toward completion in 2029, enhancements across the hospital will include an upgraded maternity and women's health unit, expanded oncology and ambulatory care services, and a new academic space for the UBC Faculty of Medicine.

Qualifications:

• Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
• You'll hold, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• Your certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be up to date.
• If you’re a US-trained physician with ABMS certification in pediatrics, you may be eligible to practice under the USA certified class.
• To practice medicine here, you’ll have coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
