Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Post-secondary education related to Business Administration, Cartography, and/or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
  • Experience in retail sales of products and services
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to articulate and relay information accurately and clearly
  • Effective customer service skills with experience providing superior client-focused customer service to the public and various stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of computer technology and programs, including Adobe & GIS software, and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook or other similar programs
  • Excellent cartographic and photo interpretation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, meet multiple deadlines and work with accuracy and attention to details

Desired:
  • Knowledge of the Manitoba Survey System, legal descriptions, mapping, and aerial photography
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures including reconciling, balancing sales transactions, and managing cash float

Duties:
Reporting to the Manager of Canada Map Sales within Shared Services and Risk Management, the incumbent is responsible for providing accurate and timely information on the products and services offered within the Map Sales/Air Photo Library. The incumbent receives, processes, and produces orders for products requested by clients including the technical aspects of creating products and utilizing specific programs for the creation and printing of mapping and air photo products.
