FF-C-2023-041 Pharmacy Assistant

The Pharmacy Assistant, under the supervision of a pharmacist, performs delegated duties related to the technical and
clerical functions of the pharmacy in accordance with the mission, vision, values, and philosophy of the Northern Health
Region (NHR).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 education or equivalent

• Pharmacy Technician course from a recognized program (other combinations of education and experience may

• One (1) year experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a hospital setting is preferred

• Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet

• Knowledge of WHMIS and proper handling of cytotoxic substances

• Must be willing to become NAPRA validated by the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and/or CancerCare

• Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
