Ansira’s IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the configuration, customization, and administration of Atlassian tools to support collaboration, project management, and software development within our organization. Working closely with teams across Ansira, you will optimize the use of productivity tools including Atlassian applications such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and plugins such as BigPicture and TempoTime, to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Duties/Responsibilities:
System Configuration and Customization:
  • Configure and customize enterprise productivity tools including Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket, and BigPicture, to align with organizational processes and requirements.
  • Implement and manage custom workflows, issue types, and project configurations.
  • Assess and prioritize system enhancements requested by users.
  • Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation related to integrations, dataflows, process flow and application architecture.
User Support and Training:
  • Respond to service desk issues submitted by internal users, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) for time to first response and time to issue resolution.
  • Provide user support and training to ensure teams can effectively use Atlassian applications.
  • Create documentation and resources for users, promoting best practices.
  • Train and support ‘super-users’ who can assist users with basic tasks.
Delegation and Collaboration:
  • Provide training and documentation enabling Ansira helpdesk team to help manage tasks within productivity tools.
  • Escalate and troubleshoot issues to applications for support as needed.
  • If needed, help leadership create a data-driven business case to supplement internal resources.
  • Delegate to and provide oversight for third-party support teams and contractors supporting productivity systems.
Integration and Automation:
  • Integrate with other systems, plugins, or third-party applications as needed.
  • Implement automation scripts and rules to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency.
Access and Security Management:
  • Administer user access and permissions, ensuring proper security measures are in place.
  • Configure and maintain security settings to protect sensitive data.
  • Partner with network team to ensure synced Active Directory groups are granting Atlassian licenses appropriately.
Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Atlassian tools.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues and ensure scalability as the user base grows.
Plugin Management:
  • Install, configure, and manage plugins and add-ons to extend the functionality of Atlassian applications.
  • Keep plugins up-to-date and assess new plugins for potential integration.
System Upgrades and Maintenance:
  • Stay informed about new features and updates, evaluating their relevance to the organization.
  • Plan and execute upgrades and patch management for Atlassian applications.
Reporting and Analytics:
  • Develop and generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into project progress, team performance, and other key metrics.
  • Collaborate with teams to create custom reports based on specific requirements.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to self-direct and work independently
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • A customer service mindset and ability to elicit requirements.
  • Strong understanding of project management and software development processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for automation (e.g., Groovy, Python).
Education and Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Atlassian Administrator, with expertise in Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and related tools.
  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., Jira Administrator, Confluence Administrator) are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience administering Microsoft's collaboration tools is a plus (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc)
