Title: Intern
Reports To: Supervising clinical staff
Regular Work Hours: As agreed upon by supervising clinical staff and intern
At 12&12 Addiction Recovery Center, our singular focus is to help individuals battle the diseases of addiction and co-occurring substance abuse/mental health disorders. Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to all agency policy, standards, and practice related to placement
2. Adhere to agency policy regarding computer usage and confidentiality agreement
3. Be punctual and dependable
4. Dress and behave professionally and report all absences according to agency rules
5. Is responsible for attendance and contacting supervisor when absent, arranging to complete the make-up hours
6. Complete tasks and responsibilities thoroughly and timely with a positive attitude
7. Keep appointments and other agreed upon commitments
8. Handle any issues of conflict in a professional manner
9. Maintain confidentiality
10. Maintain high personal and ethical standards which comply with 12&12, Inc. Code of Ethics
11. Prepare for supervision and actively participate
12. Maintain a time sheet which will be provided to the supervising clinical staff
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of cultural sensitivity; of the principles and techniques of psychiatric counseling and chemical dependency counseling; of issues specific to the dually diagnosed client and the effects of psychotropic medications; of community mental health resources; of the social, economic, and health problems related to the dually diagnosed; of the dynamics of co-occurring disorders.
Access to Confidential Information: This position will have access to confidential client information as needed.
Physical Requirements: Light to moderate lifting may be required.
