Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add an IT Project Management Intern located in our Salt Lake City, Utah site.
Reporting to the Customer IT Manager, the student will assist our project management team in coordinating and managing various IT projects. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain practical experience in project management methodologies and IT operations.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring they align with company goals.
- Support the project manager in tracking project progress and updating documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and monitor progress.
- Help prepare project status reports and presentations for stakeholders, participate in project meetings, taking notes and following up on action items.
- Research and analyze best practices and emerging trends in IT project management, assist in identifying risks and issues and propose solutions to mitigate them.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the project management framework.
Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:
- Senior level student pursuing a degree in IT, Project Management, Business Administration, or related major.
- Strong interest in IT project management and technology-related projects.
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) is a plus, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to start on May 27th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment (Mon – Fri)
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
