The manager will lead the construction of the current Luxury Residential Building development in Miami, pursuing and keeping in force all required approvals from County, City, State; meeting established development timelines by: reviewing master project schedules for assigned projects, ensuring Architects & Civil Engineers are provided with accurate and timely information, verifying material procurement and delivery are synchronized with schedules, regularly monitoring progress of all projects, visiting the site, and requesting modified completion target dates when necessary.
The professional must provide value engineering ideas and procurement efforts to achieve savings regularly through project development.
The Manager will also be tasked with updating feasibility analyses and tests, preparing and monitoring business plans and investment thesis, supporting the inception and architectural design phases, and overseeing all activities related to the hotel's implementation Primary
Responsibilities:
Experience in pre-construction and land development efforts ranging from site planning, grading plan reviews and utility design and review.
Manage and lead a team of architects, civil, structural, electrical engineers & more to confirm the economic and zoning viability of a land site.
Play critical leadership, coordination, and communication role with all stakeholders including the client, architects, civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers, sign vendors and more, creating tailored development schedules for developments and land acquisitions to pursue speed to construction start for a given project.
Proven experience in working with local municipalities and organizations to pursue site plan / zoning approvals from County, City, State & more for a given concept.
Lead and present at local staff, design review boards, planning commission and city council meetings to represent the clients and pursue zoning and site plan approval.
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field of study;
• 5 years of experience in a similar or related position;
• Solid understanding of construction procedures, architecture, design, terminology, building codes, construction standards and documentation;
• Ability to conduct weekly project meetings either onsite or via conference calls with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluency in English;
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and manage one’s own time.
