Excellent customer service is a must, as Bartenders are responsible for greeting and serving Pub patrons in a welcoming and friendly manner, exceeding guest expectations, and accurately describing food and beer offerings. Being organized and detail-oriented is essential for accurately taking orders, providing recommendations, and maintaining cleanliness in the bar area.
Adaptability and a team-oriented mindset are crucial for multitasking, assisting in Pub events, and supporting the Back of House when needed. Proficiency in managing POS systems like Touch Bistro and enforcing all regulations ensure a smooth operation that prioritizes customer satisfaction and safety.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Greet and serve Pub patrons in a welcoming and friendly manner
- Maintain a safe and healthy and sustainable Brewpub environment
- Exceed guest expectations of 7 Hills Brewing Company
- Know our food and beer and be able to accurately describe each item in terms of taste style and category
- Accurately take patron orders for food and beverages while providing recommendations
- Serve food and beverages to customers immediately when they are ready
- Bus and set tables and bar-top as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area - sanitize appropriately
- Follow checklists and standard operating procedures
- Respond to customer inquiries about our brands and special events
- Maintain all necessary state and local bartending certifications
- Available to assist in scheduled Pub events
- Help Back of House in downtime as needed
- Communicate with management to assure availability of adequate supplies
- Enforce all federal state and local regulations
- Manage POS Systems: currently Touch Bistro
- Control cash and receipts by adhering to all cash handling and reconciliation procedures
