Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serves as a leader for employees by exhibiting sound decision making while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communication.
- Leads overall daily edible preparation, ensuring preparation meets established standard operating procedures.
- Performs daily checks to ensure the quality of the kitchen set up.
- Maintains the budgeted edible cost by adhering to recipe standards and maintaining correct inventory levels.
- Works all stations to assist the cooks when busy or to provide breaks.
- Prepares prep lists and production logs.
- Understands local sanitation, health code laws, and the required weights and measures.
- Maintains and verifies all required logbooks and temperature logs.
- Calibrate pH meters, thermometers, and scales as needed.
- Trains existing, new and future employees at all facilities, providing each with the knowledge, development, and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
