Site Safety and Health Officer
A&K Construction is looking for a highly motivated, skilled, and hardworking employee to join our family. Job Description/Responsibilities:
· Comprehensive review and implement changes as necessary to current company safety plan.
· Comply with Fort Campbell Core of Engineers on all safety and health protocols.
· Prepare the Contractor's Safety Plan, and Activity Hazard Analysis.
· Provide Safety Indoctrination to all construction site visitors.
· Ensure the Contractor's accepted Accident Prevention Plan.
· Monitor and track accidents and injuries.
· Ensure all Contractor/Subcontractor employees have all HTRW, asbestos, lead paint, and PPE training.
· Conduct daily walk through of the site ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised.
· Conduct weekly safety meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in construction safety WITH 5 years of safety experience in the construction industry. OR 10 years related experience.
· OSHA 30 hour certification.
· 24 hours of Safety and Health course work completed in the last 3 years.
· Strong computer skills including excel, outlook, word.
· Ability to perform and ensure compliance with Contractor and Core of Engineers safety and health programs.
