ABS Kids is looking for a Facilities Manager to support our team. The Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for helping maintain all company facilities throughout their respective region. This is accomplished by providing an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices.
This is a remote position, however there will be potential travel up to 25% of the time. Candidate needs to reside in Columbia, SC.

What Would You Do?
- Help develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
- Conduct and document regular facilities inspections and keep Operational personnel informed of results.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
- Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency, coordinate new locations and/or transfers.
- Supervise outside third-party contractors in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Assist in overseeing facility refurbishment and renovations.
- Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, waste disposal and parking.
- Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency by obtaining multiple quotes from vendors and suppliers.
- Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize a cost-effective strategy.
- Help negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost savings; all while the needs of the operation are met.
- Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers, manage contractor and vendor relationships.
- Check completed work by contractors and vendors and verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing.
- Help prepare and track facility budget and monitor monthly Facility spend.
- Complete Purchase Orders and Cap Ex Requests where needed.
- Work alongside the Compliance team ensuring that all facilities needs are met in accordance with local and national guidelines.
- Assure security of the facilities and provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Minimum High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Experience with Building Permits, Business Permits at the city level preferred
- Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interacts professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Works effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Works closely with the Real Estate/Facilities Team for involvement with lease support.
- Supports the efforts of management in meeting profit and growth objectives as established in the strategic business plan.
- Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and the organizations.
- Works safely, within the company guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOP).
