About the Role
This role requires candidates to have 3 years of accounting experience, along with payroll experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. As a Staff Accountant, you will partner with the Controller to complete the month-end close process, perform financial and accounts analysis, prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and calculate inventory costs. You will also process bi-weekly payroll, perform sales and use tax reporting, and analyze profit margins.
Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end close process
- Prepare financial reports and account analysis
- Reconcile accounts
- Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain payroll records
- Perform inventory variance investigations and coordinate cycle count process
- Prepare sale and use tax reporting
- Analyze profit margins and standard costing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and experience
- 3 years of Accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing industry
- Experience with payroll processing
- Inventory and cost analysis experience strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and payroll software
- Understanding of GAAP
