We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payroll Processor / Tax Assistant. In this role, you will provide outstanding service to clients by processing payrolls, resolving inquiries, and assisting with tax-related matters. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality customer service to clients by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Communicate with clients daily to gather information for payroll processing.
- Establish payroll schedules and ensure timely, accurate payroll production.
- Correspond with federal, state, and local tax agencies on behalf of clients.
- Research and resolve system and client-related issues.
- Maintain high client retention rates through consistent and quality service.
- Provide client training on payroll and tax-related tools, reports, and additional services.
- Stay updated on payroll systems, industry trends, and wage/tax law changes.
- Perform general administrative duties, including typing, copying, answering phones, and scheduling.
- Assist with creating forms, assembling marketing materials, and preparing sales reports.
- Support new client setup in the payroll system and other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of office experience with proven skills in data entry, customer service, and problem resolution.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Prior experience processing payroll is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
