The Role: Payroll Specialist / Tax Assistant
At our company, the Payroll Specialist/Assistant provides quality customer phone and email support for our clients, including establishing payroll schedules, obtaining information to run payroll, and resolving customer questions and concerns. The new hire should also expect to perform general administrative support in the office (typing, copying, answering the telephone, scheduling).
The successful applicant also works with federal, state, and local tax authorities as needed. Our team is always receiving training on payroll system and software changes, trends in the industry, and changes in wage and tax law.

Role Requirements
We are currently hiring for experienced candidates. All candidates must be able to work full-time in the company’s Moorestown, NJ office (not remotely); office hours are 8:30am-5:00pm. The experience that will translate best into this role will be with a payroll service bureau handling at least 100 payrolls per week or similar with proven skills in data entry, customer service, and problem resolution.
We require an associate’s degree but prefer candidates with a bachelor’s degree. Candidates must be able to demonstrate customer service skills, the ability to work under time constraints, and excellent math and computer skills. We require candidates with prior experience processing payroll in a service bureau environment. Please provide a salary history with your resume.
