Hybrid in the Malvern, PA location coming into the office at least 3 days per week with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday being the set in-office days.
Salary range: $85k - $95k

What you’ll do:
The Payroll Specialist will assist in processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner for approximately 800 employees in 30 states as the Bank continues to expand its footprint. This position will offer the opportunity to work as an integral part of our People Experience Team (PXT), concentrating on payroll, compensation and HR data and operational solutions. Working closely with the Payroll Manager in all aspects of the biweekly payroll to ensure timely and accurate delivery, the ideal candidate must have experience processing Workday payroll with ADP Smart Compliance, possess strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills, knowledge of multi-state payroll requirements, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day operations associated with the biweekly payroll processing for all team members including earnings, deductions, reporting and controls.
- Administer tax changes, garnishments, and other changes within Workday, supported through ADP Smart Compliance task(s).
- Verify timecards for accuracy and ensure timely approvals by managers and assist with time off inquiries within Workday.
- Support off-cycle processing of one-time payments or periodic bonuses and other compensation-related activities.
- Serve as the point of contact for payroll related questions including team member tax and regulatory inquiries related to all forms of compensation.
- Build and maintain employee confidence and trust by setting up process for promptly responding to requests while protecting the confidentiality of payroll operations.
- Work closely with Payroll Manger to resolve complex pay related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Support quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Assist in regular audits of biweekly payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare biweekly and ad-hoc reports and analysis for management and other stakeholders, as needed.
- Work with auditors during payroll audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations, as needed.
- Facilitate tracking of new hire compensation commitments.
- Support the Payroll Manager with day-to-day activities supporting equity compensation plans including the ESPP and stock-based award exercises and releases, and other administrative support.
- Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements and efficiencies.
- Demonstrate consistent initiative to take on additional tasks, projects and initiatives across the PXT while maintaining the highest level of attention and accuracy for the payroll-specific portfolio of work.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a payroll specific role, supporting a multi-state payroll.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll administration software – experience with Workday preferred.
- Ability to work closely with the payroll vendors to ensure payroll deadlines, objectives, quality of service and operational performance are met.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Detail oriented, deadline driven and work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to comfortably interact with employees of all levels across the organization and uses discretion when dealing with sensitive employee payroll matters.
- Flexibility in terms of willingness to meet varied and changing demands.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to independently troubleshoot and recommend solutions.
- A customer service driven mindset when assisting employees.
- Experience/knowledge with equity-based awards is a plus.
Technology Skills:
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll administration software - experience with Workday preferred
- ADP Smart Compliance
- Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred
