Job Summary
The Vice President of Product and Application Development leads our Discovery/Development Business Division, steering its strategic direction to develop and enhance an innovative product portfolio, including proteins, antibodies, kits, and instrument solutions tailored for drug developers. This role demands a proven leadership track record, an acute understanding of evolving biopharmaceutical industry trends, and the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration to drive product innovation. A deep knowledge of various industry modalities and their projected trends over the next 3-5 years is essential. This position offers flexibility to be based in Beijing or Boston, Massachusetts, and requires extensive international travel to align and drive global development strategies.

- Strategic Vision: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the division, focusing on innovative product solutions and applications that meet the current and future needs of the biopharmaceutical industry.

- Budget Management: Oversee the development and management of the division’s budget, ensuring alignment with broader company financial goals and objectives.

- Representation: Represent ACROBiosystems at international conferences, summits, and industry meetings, showcasing our leadership in the field and engaging with thought leaders worldwide.
Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience
- Educational Background: Advanced degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related field. Ph.D. or MBA is highly preferred.
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in a leadership role within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, specifically in product and application development.
- Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated success in leading and managing diverse and high-performing teams, with a strong aptitude for fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of current trends, technologies, and advancements in the biopharmaceutical industry and life science discovery.
- Modalities Expertise: A deep understanding of different modalities within the industry (such as small molecules, biologics, cell, and gene therapies) and their projected trends over the next 3-5 years.
- Strategic Planning and Innovation: Proven track record in strategic planning, innovation, and bringing new products to the global market.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with proficiency in Mandarin.
- Travel: Willingness and capability to travel extensively on a global scale.

Salary Range
- $180,000 to $230,000 (DOE) Bonus
