Description:

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical/control systems and the ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in PLC and HMI programming
• Knowledge of servo motors, motion control and drives.
• Experience in Fanuc robots setup and programming.
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (heavily focused on Excel and PowerPoint)
• Enforces safe work practices as the highest priority and implements objectives for ergonomics, health/safety and housekeeping
• Maintains good working relationships with peers, hourly employees, management, supplier community and interfaces with necessary support functions outside of the plant
• Provides technical support and direction to other department and controls engineers, IT and support personnel/skilled trades;
• Assists maintenance personnel in operation and maintenance of specialized equipment Investigates and root cause system and equipment problems and provides technical input on problem resolution;
• Coordinates and communicates the development of changes to improve conditions for manufacturing processes
• Coordinates with area manufacturing engineers on process and equipment planning, including model change, throughput, sourcing, etc.
• Develop cost estimates, investment forecasts, business cases, appropriation requests and plans for project activity;
• Develops and monitors planning timetables and projects schedules
