Position Overview
Acuity Capital Group is seeking an Accounting Administrative Assistant to support the company’s accounting, finance, and administrative functions. This role will report to and work closely with the Controller, ensuring the smooth operation of office activities, maintaining accounting processes, and HR/payroll duties.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily accounting tasks, including maintaining general ledger integrity, journal entries, and account reconciliations within business central.
- Prepare accounts payable and receivable reports, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
- Process payments and documents such as invoices.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances, supporting informed decision-making.
- Manage expense reports and receipts via Expensify.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end accounts.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) for monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.
- Process payroll via ADP Payroll.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Coordinate execution of contracts and legal documents.
- Manage inbound and outbound office mail.
- Oversee office supply inventory and procurement.
- Maintain building facilities and coordinate with contractors for repairs and maintenance.
- Work closely with the Managing Partner (CEO) to assist with travel arrangements, company functions, and outings
- Provide administrative support to the Controller and department heads as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (Business Central proficiency required)
- Experience with administrative and clerical work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication skills & the ability to multi-task
