Facilities Director

Job Description: The Director of Facilities and Grounds supervises physical plant operations, including all buildings and grounds, utilities, energy management systems, and safety/security systems to provide a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and staff. The Director of Facilities and Grounds creates and monitors the development and implementation of yearly operations and provides input on capital projects. This position also involves independently conducting operations reviews and inspections of facilities for compliance with DPS, fire safety, and other applicable codes and regulations. In this position, the candidate must work closely with other School and Town Departments to maintain and repair school-operated buildings, grounds, and related capital assets in use. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Performs maintenance, technology, and custodial functions as needed 2. Ensure that the facilities are inspected daily for purposes of safety, cleanliness, and operating condition. 3. Ensures that all necessary maintenance and general repair tasks( electrical, plumbing, heating, painting, etc) of all school buildings and property are conducted in a timely manner. 4. Ensures preventative maintenance of the HVAC equipment, unit ventilators, exhaust fans, boilers, air handler, pumps, generator and all maintenance related machinery 5. Ensures that all grounds are maintained(grass and shrub trimming, ball fields upkeep) 6. Researches and completes purchases orders for appropriate purchase of supplies and equipment 7. Creates schedule for maintenance and custodial duties 8. Supervises and conducts emergency snow removal operation of walkways, roadways, and parking areas to allow for safe use of facility 9. Coordinates weekend facility inspection, weekend and overtime work, and on call responses to building alarms and additional requests as necessary 10. Coordinates all state, insurance, and local inspections

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
