Program Manager

The Program Manager at Adkev is responsible for the coordination, oversight and communication of all tasks associated with a program from product launch up to and including end of production life. The primary success criterion for a program manager is on-time delivery of program milestones ensuring we meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.

• Owner of program management database responsible for guiding a cross-function project team through the completion and execution of all tasks associated with specific projects
• Develop, publish, and manage detailed customer-facing project schedules with input from all internal resources, including but not limited to tooling, quality, automation, and manufacturing
• Develop, publish and manage internal project schedule utilizing the program management database, reporting status to supervisor weekly and higher-level staff as needed
• Ensure appropriate program progression and execution focusing on meeting both customers-facing commitments as well as internal deadlines
• Escalate issues internally as they arise concerning program schedules
• Develop, coordinate, and implement recovery plans for unanticipated challenges and events as needed
• Maintain focus on what was agreed to at the project launch and ensure execution of agreements

Customer Point of Contact – Program Specific Only:

• Facilitate customer communication for all project related issues and understand when an issue is outside of the scope of a specific project and needs to be channeled to the appropriate internal resource to prevent scope creep
• Engagement and involvement of business development managers as necessary to prevent project delays due to change in requirements or agreements
• Ability to divert non-program questions to appropriate personnel as necessary

Program Budget Oversight Function:

• Program budget owner responsible for completing a project within agreed upon budget constraints
• Supplier purchase order review against program budget and final approval
• Review / Approve internal work orders associated with projects directing automation, EOAT construction, check fixture construction, etc.
• Enter job specific financial details for project cost tracking

Program Commercial / Administrative Duties:

• Management of customer purchase orders and ensuring that sales orders are assigned to projects
• Management of customer invoice triggering in accordance with specific customer terms and conditions
• Manage part inventories during engineering changes by working with production control to ensure the appropriate level of inventories are established prior to tooling / product changes
• Manage part end of life related activities including obsolete inventories, tooling and raw material disposition
• Actively participate in project kick-off meetings and initiate projects within the program management database
• Conduct PPAP preparation meeting with a deliverable of fully documented PPAP requirements as early in a program as is feasible
• Conduct PFMEA meeting with a deliverable of a well-developed PFMEA which has input from subject matter experts including but not limited to tooling, process, manufacturing, quality and packaging
• Ensure that actions taken to reduce PFMEA RPNs are completed appropriately prior to production launch
• Manage customer audit and visit related requests as related to specific programs
• Direct manufacturing engineers as necessary in tasks related to program launch
• Issue first page of financial activity notice (FAN) to document customer financial commitments to appropriate parties within the broader organization
• Ensure the right manufacturing system is developed to meet or exceed internal and external standards
• Stay current with latest trends in time and resource management through review of trade publications and attendance to seminars and training related to program management
• Develop and implement changes / improvements within the program management system as necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,095.00 - $90,000.00 per year
