Serving Santa Clarita, Valencia, Porter Ranch, Granada Hills, Sylmar, Mission Hills, Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo and surrounding areas, Dr. Bernard Raskin uses the latest techniques and advances in the field of medical and cosmetic dermatology.
Role of Surgery Coordinator - We are looking for an experienced surgery coordinator that is comfortable with high volume and is competent in both professional and surgical medical billing.
Requirements:
- Must have - surgery scheduling experience (minimum 1 year)
- Nice to have - facility billing experience and medical billing knowledge in dermatology or other specialty.
Duties include the following:
- Accurately and proficiently schedule surgeries, excisions, and other treatments for an Ambulatory Surgery Center.
- Correctly interpret patient's financial responsibility and communicate back to the patient.
- Evaluate insurance coverage for both the professional and facility component of a procedure.
- Assist in essential functions related to diagnosis entry and documentation review.
- Accurately and proficiently document pre-op questionnaire and ensure proper follow up with patient and provider.
- Review patient records to ensure accuracy and correct, if needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and coworkers in a professional manner.
- Organized, self-motivated who can work independently as well as part of a team
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
